After you are registered, our treasurer set's up your family in QuickBooks for billing. If you need to make payments prior to your registration being completed, please contact the treasurer to set you up. We accept a couple methods of electronic payment as well as check or cash. Some parents wait for their monthly bill to pay; others pay in advance of each event.
Activity Related Charges: Campouts, Summer Camp, other activities are paid for fully by activity-related bills to the family's account. The cost for activities will be announced for each activity.
Campout Costs: Campouts are generally $35 but can increase over time with inflation - such increases will be documented here. This is $20 for meals and $10 for incidentals and $5 to cover costs for attending leaders. Fees for outings may be refunded if the participant cancels prior to any food and/or other materials for the outing being purchased or in the event of an unforeseen emergency.
BSA/Council Activities: Summer, Winter Camp, High Adventure (Philmont, Seabase, Northern Tier): These are all camps run by the BSA with their own payment schedules. In ideal circumstances, the troop will bill family accounts ahead of these payment schedules, but sometimes circumstances necessitate follup billing to account for all cost. Some council activities may allow direct payment by the parent.
Activity Related Refunds: For troop related activity, refunds will be issued if cancelation occurs before activity related purchases were made. For BSA & Council events where the troop paid to register, we follow that event's refund policy.
Current troop dues are $48 per scout and free for leaders. This does not include BSA dues or OA dues (see below). Scouts crossing over from Cubs typically join in February/March. If you join the troop mid year, your dues will be prorated. For example, if you join in March, you will pay 10/12th of the annual dues.
BSA Annual Dues for Adults & Scouts: BSA dues ($85 + fees as of 10/2026) are now directly charged to families. During this process you optionally elect to pay for a subscription to Scout Life Magazine. As a note, there is a correlation with the Scout Life Magazine subscription and continued interest in scouts BSA. Payment of BSA dues can be made at my.scouting.org.
Order of the Arrow: A first class or higher scout or adult leader may be eligible for election to BSA's society of honor campers. The dues vary based on level of membership: ordeal, brotherhood, or vigil. These dues are required to remain an active member of OA. An individual can choose not to be an active member. Cost is historically $20 for ordeal members or $15 for brotherhood or vigil members.
