You are likely here because your Scout has either volunteered or was elected to be Grubmaster for the upcoming campout.
The Grubmaster is responsible for buying the food for their patrol of 3-10 Scouts for the campout. Your Scout should know how many Scouts will be in their patrol for the campout. If they do not, please contact the Troop Leader. Your Scout should also know if any Scouts have any dietary restrictions.
The Grubmaster will provide food for Saturday’s breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday’s breakfast. They should also ensure paper towels are purchased for the patrol's use at the campout.
The budget given is $5.00 per scout per meal ($20 per Scout for the campout). Please submit your receipt to our treasurer for reimbursement at troop280treasurer@gmail.com.
Typically, the Scouts come up with a theme of what they will be eating for the campout. Please ask your Scout what the theme is for the campout. (ex Italian , some type of Potato at every meal).
Your Scout should have a detailed meal plan of what their patrol has agreed for each meal.
As Grubmaster, they will go home after the meeting with a Troop ice chest and a dry bin checked out from the Troop shed via the Quartermaster.
Please ensure all of the food packed in the appropriate container when your Scout is dropped off for the campout.
If your Scout was assigned Grubmaster but needs to cancel at the last minute, please contact the Troop Leader as soon as possible!
